Who we are

OurGuestbook (ourguestbook.co.uk) is a digital invitation and guestbook platform operated by Dale Crabtree (UK). Contact: [email protected]

What data we collect

  • Account data: your email address when you pay or claim an invitation.
  • Invitation data: couple names, event date, venue, story, and any content you enter in the wizard.
  • Guest data: names and emails you import for your guest list (you are the data controller for this data).
  • RSVP data: dietary, transport, and accommodation responses submitted by your guests.
  • Guestbook messages and photos: content uploaded by guests.
  • Payment data: processed securely by Stripe. We do not store card details.
  • Anonymous conversion data: a random, session-only identifier plus high-level funnel milestones such as a design selected, plan selected, or checkout opened. It does not include names, emails, invitation content, or payment details.

How we use your data

  • Delivering the invitation service (hosting your event page, processing RSVPs).
  • Sending transactional emails (magic-link, receipt, claim link) via Resend.
  • Processing payments via Stripe.
  • Understanding which parts of the invitation-creation journey need improvement through anonymous, session-only conversion milestones.
  • We do NOT sell your data. We do NOT use it for advertising.

Data retention

Event pages are hosted for the purchased period (3 or 6 months). After expiry, your page is taken offline. Guest data is deleted when the event expires. You can request deletion at any time by emailing us.

Your rights (UK GDPR)

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Email [email protected] with "Data Request" in the subject.

Third-party processors

  • Supabase: database hosting (EU region).
  • Stripe: payment processing.
  • Resend: transactional email.
  • Netlify: website hosting (EU CDN).

Cookies

We use only essential session cookies required for authentication. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. Anonymous conversion milestones use browser session storage rather than cookies and are cleared when the browser session ends. See our Cookie Policy.
