Terms of Service

1. Who we are

OurGuestbook is a trading name of POLICYANDPLAY LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (company no. 17253846). Registered office: 7 Cosford Drive, Shortstown, Bedford MK42 0DQ, United Kingdom. Email: [email protected]. We are not VAT registered.

These terms apply when you use ourguestbook.co.uk, buy a plan from us, or redeem an Etsy code.

2. What we sell

We provide an online service: a digital invitation page for your event with RSVP, guestbook and (on some plans) photo wall, guest list and other tools, hosted for a fixed period. You can build and preview for free. You pay once, with no subscription and no automatic renewal.

• The Invitation: £30 (£29 for non-wedding events), hosted for 3 months.
• The Celebration: £59, hosted for 6 months.
• The Wedding Package: £299, hosted for 6 months. Weddings only.
• Cinematic Teaser Film add-on: £30 (included with the Wedding Package).

What each plan includes is listed on the pricing page and at checkout, and is what we will deliver.

3. Prices and payment

Prices are in pounds sterling. We are not VAT registered, so no VAT is charged. The price shown is the total you pay, with no hidden fees. Payment is taken by Stripe when you order.

4. How the contract is formed

Our checkout page is an invitation to buy. Your contract with us starts when your payment is confirmed and we email you that your invitation is live. If we cannot supply (for example a pricing error or a technical fault), we will tell you and refund anything you paid.

5. Delivery, hosting and expiry

Your invitation page goes live as soon as payment is confirmed, normally within a minute. We host it for the period in your plan, counted from the date of payment (or redemption). When hosting ends the page is taken offline, and we delete the data as set out in our Privacy Policy. We email a reminder before expiry. Download your keepsake PDF before then. Hosting can be extended where the dashboard offers it, on the terms shown at the time.

6. Cancellation and refunds

You have a 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, which you lose if you ask for the service to start straight away and acknowledge that. At checkout we ask you to do exactly that. Full details, how to cancel and how refunds work are on our Refunds & cancellation page. If something we supply is faulty or not as described, you have legal rights to a repair, replacement, price reduction or refund.

7. Etsy codes

If you bought a code on Etsy, the sale is between you and the Etsy seller account, and Etsy's refund route applies to that purchase. Once you redeem the code on our site, the plan you redeemed is supplied under these terms. A code works once, for the plan it was sold for.

8. Your content and your guests' data

You keep ownership of what you upload. You give us a licence to store, display and process it for the purpose of running your page and the service. You must have the right to use anything you upload (photos, music, text).

For the personal data of your guests (names, emails, RSVPs, messages, photos), you are the controller and we are your processor. We will process it only on your instructions to provide the service, keep it secure, use only the providers named in our Privacy Policy, help you answer guests' rights requests, and delete or return it when hosting ends. You must tell your guests what you do with their data and only ask for what you need.

9. Our designs

The designs, templates, animations and software remain ours or our licensors'. Your plan gives you a personal, non-transferable licence to use them for your own event while your page is live. You may not copy, resell or redistribute them.

10. Acceptable use

You must not use the service to host illegal or abusive content, impersonate others, send spam, upload photos of people without a good reason to share them, or attack or bypass our security. We may remove content or suspend a page that breaks these rules, and will tell you why where we can.

11. Our responsibility to you

We will provide the service with reasonable care and skill. We cannot promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we are not responsible for losses we could not reasonably have foreseen, for loss of profit or business (you are a consumer, so we do not expect any), or for problems caused by your device, browser or connection. Our total liability to you for anything arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid for it.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. For anything that materially affects a plan you have already bought, we will email you first and the change will not reduce what you paid for. Continued use alone does not make you agree to a material change.

13. Complaints and disputes

Please tell us first at [email protected] and we will try to put it right. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
